ABOUT YIESHA:
Yiesha is a natural-born entrepreneur who has always had creative and innovative ideas growing up. As a child she enjoyed putting things together and coming up with creative ways to make life easier. Yiesha has had many ideas and businesses "fail" but she has always looked at it as preparation for something bigger than herself! "When you know you have purpose running through your blood, you never give up on your dreams...I've always been inspired by people and I've always wanted to make a difference."
After just coming off of another failed venture, a friend of hers was selling her event planning business. With no money to outright buy it, she made payments on the business while trying to operate it. Now the Toledo Baby Child & Family Expo is an event in Northwest, OH that continues to grow under her leadership. She has truly found her niche working with local businesses, non profits and organizations. Yiesha has a passion for supporting local businesses and connecting them with resources that benefit them.
The Humility Project, LLC was one of her businesses that she had put on hold until Toledo Baby, LLC started to grow and now she's running both businesses. The Humility Project officially launched July 13, 2011 but it definitely had humble beginnings. The Humility Project started as a simple thought years ago after looking through a box full of memories...memories that stemmed from an incident that changed Yiesha forever. The box was filled with cards, gifts, news clippings and well wishes from people across the country that wanted her to know that they were thinking of her. Strangers were thinking of Yiesha at a time when she didn't want to be thought of at all. That really did something to her because she wanted to thank them for their kindness but she just couldn't do it...
The words and feelings in that box brought on an extreme amount of guilt because Yiesha felt like the power of those words were just sitting there and she wasn't honoring them properly. Yiesha became burdened by it but one day that all changed. While in the shower it hit her. She thought, "How can I give back the kindness that those thoughtful strangers showed me in my time of need?" It started with that question and for almost seven years now it's been a passion of hers to recycle kindness.
Yiesha likes to stay low key and out of the spotlight as much as possible. She really wants the focus to be on the project and not herself but she will speak on occasion if it benefits others. Yiesha is the mother of one son Jaxon who is and always will be her best Christmas gift ever (he was born on Christmas). They currently reside in Toledo, OH.
